Ingredients
  

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 can 28 ounces crushed tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves chopped

Method
 

  1. Heat olive oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  3. Pour in the crushed tomatoes and stir to combine.
  4. Add sugar, salt, black pepper, oregano, and red pepper flakes; mix well.
  5. Simmer the sauce uncovered for about 20-30 minutes.
  6. Stir in freshly chopped basil just before serving.
