Ingredients
  

  • 300 g halloumi cut into cubes
  • 300 g pasta spaghetti or penne
  • 400 g canned crushed tomatoes
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions.
  2. While the pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
  4. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  5. Pour in the crushed tomatoes and season with salt and pepper.
  6. Cook the sauce for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. In a separate pan, pan-fry the halloumi until golden.
  8. Combine the cooked pasta, sauce, and halloumi in a large mixing bowl.
