Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 can 15 oz kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can 15 oz black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can 28 oz crushed tomatoes
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 bell pepper chopped
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Transfer the beef to the crockpot and add the chopped onion and bell pepper.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic, chili powder, cumin, and smoked paprika.
  4. Add the crushed tomatoes, kidney beans, black beans, and beef broth.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and stir well.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 4 hours.
  7. Once cooked, taste and adjust seasoning as needed before serving.
