Innovative Approach to Cauliflower Crust Pizza

A crispy, golden-brown cauliflower crust pizza delivers a satisfying crunch and savory flavor, making it an ideal option for casual gatherings or a cozy night in, all while embracing a healthier twist on a classic favorite.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 large head cauliflower
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare the cauliflower by removing the leaves and core, and chopping it into florets.
  3. Steam the cauliflower florets until they are tender, about 7-10 minutes.
  4. Once steamed, let the cauliflower cool slightly, then use a food processor to pulse it into fine 'rice'.
  5. Transfer the riced cauliflower to a clean kitchen towel and wring out excess moisture.
  6. In a mixing bowl, combine the riced cauliflower, Parmesan, mozzarella, egg, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  7. Transfer the mixture onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and shape it into a round crust.
  8. Bake the crust for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
  9. Remove the crust from the oven and let it cool slightly before adding toppings.
  10. Add your favorite pizza toppings and return to the oven for an additional 10-15 minutes.
  11. Slice, serve, and enjoy your homemade cauliflower crust pizza!
