Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, combine ground beef or turkey, breadcrumbs, BBQ sauce, grated Parmesan cheese, egg, salt, and pepper.
Mold the meat mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
Fit each triangle into a prepared muffin tin, pressing the dough into the bottom and up the sides to create a cup.
Place one meatball in each crescent cup.
Brush the exposed dough edges lightly with a bit of the remaining BBQ sauce for added flavor.
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and meatballs are cooked through.
Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
